The Playtime Playground

Have you heard about the new playground in Stonefields? The Playtime Playground. It's close to a cafe and Stonefields School and is situated at the bottom of Mt Wellington. It is a new state of the art playground that is within half an hour of Aucklands CBD. You and  your family should come and check it out!

The new playground has some pretty cool features. The playground has a flying fox, a basket swing, a massive spinning top, and some others. The floor is made of sand and it's really soft. The playground has a mini - tower with a slide to slide off the tower. It has these mini - diggers which are pretty cool.

Some features that I like are the basket swing, and the huge spinning top. I think those are really fun. The basket slide is held up with chains, and the chain is surrounded with rubber so it wouldn't hurt if you hold it. The cool thing about the spinning top is that you can control the speed of it spinning so if you sit on the spinning top, and you want to spin fast, then you could push it hard and it will go fast, if you want it to go slow, then you could push it lightly.

Some features that I didn't like was the sand, and the speed of the flying fox. The reason I didn't like the idea of having sand instead of grass is because it gets in your shoes and you get full of sand. It is really hard not to get sand in your shoes! The reason I don't like the flying fox too much is because it doesn't go down a hill so it goes really slow.

I would recommend the Playtime Playground to children from 2 - 13 years because the playground hasn't got games that would really interest people that are older than 13. And the games are probably not for 1 year olds or younger.

How To Train Your Dragon 2

In the holidays I went to watch 'How to train your Dragon 2'with my friend Barr.We went to Event cinemas so we could have fun and watch the movie.

Barr had an Ice - Cream and a drink and I had popcorn and a drink.

I ordered a small popcorn and it was still massive! I couldn't eat all of it!

The movie was really cool, I really enjoyed it. We actually watched it in 3D!

It was epic. Me and Barr kept our 3D glasses. After the movie Barr ate some sushi and we went back to Barr's house.

It was a really cool movie. I can't wait until I do something like that again.

On Top Of A Mountain

I could see the snow falling on top of the mountain. The ground was all white… The rocky walls looked like there were about to fall down any minute.  The snow was running everywhere, going crazy.

I could smell the ice, it smelt like freezing water. The dust climbed up my nose making me sneeze every second. There was a smell that smelt like freezing air. The rocks smelt like very fresh puke. It was really gross.

The snowflakes glistened gently gliding onto my hand, it felt like I had icicles on my palm. The thick snow was covering my feet and it made my boots turn to ice.  I tripped and all the snow jumped over me. I felt the hail fall on me, I could hear the hailstones touch the ground.

I  could hear the wind blowing on the mountain. The rocks rolling everywhere were making a big noise. I heard the clouds making lightning that sounded like a big lion roaring really loudly. The clouds bashing and crashing into each other sounded like a massive giant stomping angrily.

I felt cold and wet. The snow that was already up to my knees made me feel mad. I was coughing and sneezing every second, and my throat felt really sore. I felt like there was a frog in my throat.  The hail dropping on my body felt like huge rocks falling on me.

A day in the Life of Tane Mahuta

Mini - Golf

On Thursday 1st of May I went to Mini - Golf with my Dad, Shay, Nadav and Aixa. (Shay's Friend) It was in Tamaki Drive and we decided to go there because we knew it would be really fun! I had a Blue ball and Nadav's ball was Dark Green. Shay was really excited, she had a smile as big as the big sun!

My favourite hole was hole 7, I liked it because there were lots of tunnels which makes the ball go in different directions. I think the trickiest one was hole 8 because there were lots of turns and tricky parts. The easiest hole would have to be hole 1 because it's the first level and I got a hole in 2. (Which was the par.)

At the end I added up the scores and I got 62 points, Nadav got 84, Shay got 71 and Aixa got 74. So, Nadav came last, Aixa came 3rd, Shay was 2nd and I placed First! Yay!

It was as fun as going on one of the rides at Rainbows End!

Up Mt Wellington By Bar

On Wednesday the 19th of March LH8 climbed to the top of Mt Wellington. We walked on the road to the top, because on the grass it was too steep. We had to go in single file because if a car it would be harder to hit one of us. When we got to the top we ate some lunch. After that we did some cool activities. One of them was when we sat on Mt Wellington and drew all the other volcanoes that we could see. Another was that we drew with pastels some of the views we could see. The last one was capture the flag, it was fun. Then we got to eat some ice blocks and we went down. We did some reflecting about what we did at the top. Everyone was tired but it was really fun.
